We’re pleased to share that Alessandro Bisagni, our Founder and President, presented at The Future of Green Buildings in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on 17 June 2026.
The half-day summit was co-organized by BEE Incorporations and the Mongolian Green Building Council (MGBC) at the MMS Green Building — Mongolia’s first building to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum certification, which BEE helped certify.

Mongolia’s green building sector is in motion. Policy, investment appetite, and international certification activity are converging at roughly the same time. The priority is getting the technical foundations right before the market gets ahead of them.
An official opening and a morning built around it
Tsogjavkhlan. N, Business Development Manager at MMS LLC, served as host and moderator for the day. The event was officially opened by Ariunzaya. A., a Member of Parliament.
Alessandro opened the morning program with a presentation about where AI fits in building performance monitoring, how LEED and WELL are evolving under ESG and decarbonization pressure, and why investors increasingly need verified performance data rather than modelled estimates.
Maya Lkhagvasuren, our Director for Mongolia, co-presented alongside Ts. Batgerel, CEO of the MGBC. Their presentation covered the active certification pipeline in Mongolia: the projects under way and what BEE and the MGBC have been building together on the ground.

AI, cost, and what the panel turned over
Alessandro joined the panel discussion alongside Ts. Batgerel, Maya, a representative from Golomt Bank, and guests from the Mongolian government.
Two questions shaped the hour: how AI and smart building systems are changing the way sustainable buildings are designed and operated, and what practical, cost-effective lessons Mongolia can borrow from markets where green building is already well-established.
Golomt Bank’s presence had context. In September 2025, the bank signed a memorandum of understanding with the MGBC, linking BestGER certification — Mongolia’s national green building rating system — to preferential green loan eligibility. The finance side of Mongolia’s green building sector is moving.

For Alessandro, the conversation about green building in Mongolia connects to something he first observed here twenty years ago
“Twenty years ago, I came to Mongolia for the first time. What stayed with me was not the scale of the landscape, but the relationship between the people and the land. That connection is visible everywhere, including in the symbols carved into the mountains surrounding Ulaanbaatar that mark a culture that has coexisted with nature across generations.
That relationship is now at the center of a serious conversation about how this city grows. For Ulaanbaatar, sustainability is not a new idea to adopt. It is an old one to return to.” — Alessandro Bisagni, Founder and President, BEE Incorporations
We’re grateful to the MGBC for the partnership and for building a program that gave Mongolia’s construction professionals, investors, and government representatives a morning to think seriously about what building responsibly here looks like.
We look forward to what comes next.
